After the resounding success of FST, Freightliner wanted to pursue a lightweight version of the sales enablement tool to make it available to any sales rep with a smartphone. Our goal was to enable each salesperson to progress any lead by always having an encyclopedia of up-to-date sales and marketing knowledge on hand.

We worked with stakeholders and end users to develop a prioritized set of features most important to a mobile, dispersed sales team. We built Smart Source to give sales teams the ability to easily search, collect, and share brochures, spec sheets, videos and sales presentations with their customers. One of the app’s most requested features was offline mode, specifically for sales situations in the field where wifi is undependable, such as trade shows and remote locations.
The result is a mobile sales enablement tool that improves the efficiency and effectiveness of Freightliner sales teams. Information vital to sales and training is always up-to-date and available, no matter where sales reps are. Smart Source is a lightweight but powerful sales enablement tool.
